Our Story

The Christmas Light Search directory was established in 2008 by 2 teenagers who loved to look at Christmas Lights and wanted to provide a free platform that allowed Display owners to connect with those looking for Christmas Lights in their area.

Our goal was to publish an extensive & accurate directory of Christmas Lights, so families could explore the suburbs and find magical displays nearby.

Since our humble beginnings we have now become the leading directory of Christmas Light displays right around Australia. We have thousands of Christmas Light displays listed; from Perth to Townsville, Darwin to Hobart and all in between.

Today we're still a small team who put this site together each year in our spare time because we simply love Christmas Lights! In 2023 we are celebrating 15 years of helping Australian's find Christmas Lights, and we couldn't be more thankful to everyone who lists their display or uses the website!

Locations of Christmas Lights are submitted by home owners or the general public, with new addresses being added daily throughout December.
