Why not get it ready for next year, so as the EOFY and Black Friday sales start happening, you could chip away at your Christmas shopping and save some money then too!

Budgeting for Christmas can seem like a really difficult and time-consuming task, but it is such a great way of keeping your spending within what you are comfortable with, and ensuring you have funds available for and unexpected costs that come in around December. Here are some great tips we have put together to help you get your budget ready for gift shopping.

Use a spreadsheet, preferably online so you can access it from any device – like OneDrive or Google Drive - so you can easily track how much you need to spend. Make you first column with a list of names of who you need to buy for – or any Kris Kringles you are a part of – and add the budget for those gifts in the another column. Then, as you buy the gifts you can mark off how much you spend per gift and keep a running total of your spending.

You can also add a column for gift ideas like we have below, so you can note down any ideas for gifts as you think of them – and this becomes your shopping list! Why not get it ready for next year, so as the EOFY and Black Friday sales start happening, you could chip away at your Christmas shopping and save some money then too!
